Oregon’s working families deserve to live in dignity and safety.
Dear Stuart,
Ask your Legislator to support Upgrade and Save!
Oregonians are facing higher energy bills than ever before, all while relying on their homes as the first line of defense against extreme weather and power outages. Proven solutions like heat pumps, solar, batteries, and weatherization can make homes more affordable, comfortable, and resilient. But for too many families, upfront costs put these upgrades out of reach. The Upgrade and Save bill (SB 1588) would help more families afford critical home upgrades that improve resilience and reduce utility bills.
Trump’s so-called “Big Beautiful Bill” eliminated crucial funding for energy efficiency and other home upgrades, leaving Oregon households with fewer options to make their homes healthier and more affordable. At a time when utility bills are rising, we need to expand access to cost-saving, clean energy solutions. The Upgrade and Save bill would make home upgrades available to help reduce utility bills and make our homes more resilient and energy-independent in the face of extreme weather and disruptions.
Ask your Legislator to support Upgrade and Save!
I appreciate you taking the time to contact your legislators and pursue a common-sense solution.
Hang in there!

Preserving access to scientific data
Scientific data forms the foundation of our understanding on critical issues like climate change, where an overwhelming 99% of scientists agree that human activities are the driving force. This data doesn't just inform our opinions – it catalyzes innovation, guides research, and shapes policy decisions that affect our daily lives.
Unfortunately, the Trump administration's actions to restrict access to environmental data threaten this foundation of scientific understanding. However, organizations like Public Environmental Data Partners are working diligently to preserve public access to this crucial information.
To better understand how this data impacts your daily life and the importance of keeping it accessible, read this informative article from The Conversation.
